|I just ordered Comcast high-speed internet. The modem is supposed to arrive in the next 8-10 business days (hopefully sooner rather than later), and then I call to schedule someone to come install it. Assuming everything works like it's supposed to (combine rebates with shopping online, and there's a million things that could go wrong), the modem will be free (after rebate), installation will be free, and it will only be $30 for the first three months of service. If anybody's interested in the offer, they can take a look at Comcastoffers.com. No, I'm not specifically endorsing them, because I don't know yet if they'll actually follow through with their offer (more to come, for sure).
Today I spent about half my time twiddling my thumbs at work. I was being *somewhat* productive, because I was doing some reading that needed to be done, but I was falling asleep in my seat. The good news, though, is that the other half of my time was spent actually doing what I'm here to do. I looked over some code and started tweaking a new interface change. It's funny because I spent a couple hours struggling just to stay awake and then the last two hours I was furiously racing the clock trying to get as much done as possible before my carpool decided they wanted to leave (I was driving, but Eric had something he needed to get home for).
Unfortunately, the clock won this time. I did almost complete what I was working on, but I had to leave it in a little bit of a disarray. Hopefully I'll be able to sit down and pick up right where I left off (I can dream, can't I?), and that specific project will be done before lunch. Time for bed, though. I'll call mom back and find something to munch on and then try to be asleep before ten, because I'm *exhausted*. I'm still trying to catch up on sleep, a noble effort for sure.
